Unlock the Secrets of the Silk Roads

Despite their name, the Silk Roads carried more than just silk and consisted of more than just roads. These intricate networks of trade linked merchants over land and sea across Afro-Eurasia. They carried material goods, and also helped to spread technologies, cultures, and religions to new places. In this session, educators will explore how the Silk Roads illustrate continuity and change over time, and leave with strategies to deepen students’ historical thinking.
